Nvidia's $5 billion investment in Intel stock has turned into a $25 billion windfall for the company, according to an SEC filing. This significant gain was made as part of Nvidia's strategic AI infrastructure partnership with Intel announced last September.

In addition to its lucrative Intel investment, Nvidia also owns nearly $21 billion worth of SpaceX stock and has stakes valued at over $10 billion in various customers, partners, and suppliers. The company's quarterly revenue exceeds $80 billion and net income approaches $60 billion, providing it with plenty of unspent cash to invest.

Nvidia tends to invest in stocks poised for growth as well as make strategic investments. Its investment in Intel was both strategic and financial, helping Intel survive hard times and generating a significant profit for Nvidia.
