Nvidia's Meteoric Rise Hinges on Future Growth Prospects
Nvidia's Q2 2027 earnings were outstanding, with revenues reaching $96.2 billion, up 106% year on year and 18% sequentially.
Data centres were the highlight, accounting for $89 billion of it, up 117%.
GAAP earnings per share reached $2.46, while guidance for Q3 is $108 billion, with management pointing to roughly 70% revenue growth for FY2028.
The company's purchase commitments jumped to $279 billion from $119 billion in a single quarter, mostly memory locked in ahead of price rises, and gross margin guidance for Q3 is 74%, then 71%-72% in Q4 as those memory costs actually land.
