Nvidia's Robotics Dominance Leaves Tesla in the Dust
The robotics industry is rapidly advancing, with estimates suggesting its potential market value could reach $5 trillion by 2050.
Nvidia (NVDA) and Tesla (TSLA) are both making significant progress in this space, but Nvidia appears to be the clear winner between the two.
Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang believes that 'every industrial company will become a robotics company,' and the company is investing heavily in its physical AI opportunity, which includes robotics and autonomous vehicles.
To support this goal, Nvidia has developed the Isaac GR00T universal, open-source AI foundation model for humanoid robots. The company has also debuted its Halos full-stack safety system for robots, combining software, sensors, and processors to create a safety ecosystem for humanoid robotics in factories and other industrial settings.
Nvidia's Jetson Thor supercomputer is used by leading robotics companies, including Boston Dynamics and Amazon Robotics, for artificial intelligence inference training and robotic simulation. Morgan Stanley estimates that there could be 1 billion humanoid robots worldwide by 2050, and Nvidia believes its opportunity will grow exponentially over the next decade.
