Nvidia's stock surged after its fiscal Q2 2027 earnings report, with the company announcing a deal to supply 2 million more GPUs to Amazon Web Services (AWS) through 2028.

The agreement is part of AWS's plan to deploy Nvidia's newest Blackwell Ultra, Rubin, and Rubin Ultra chips across its global infrastructure. These chips are designed for workloads such as agentic AI systems, enterprise automation pipelines, scientific computing, and physical AI for robotics.

Nvidia's revenue for the quarter exceeded expectations, with total revenue of $96.2 billion, up 106% from a year earlier. The company also announced a 70% growth forecast for the coming fiscal year, well above the 44% consensus estimate.

CFO Colette Kress warned that memory component shortages remain a constraint on Nvidia's ability to ship product, not customer demand.
