Nvidia's Top Biotech Pick Generate Biomedicines Seeks to Revolutionize Drug Discovery
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's top biotech pick is Generate Biomedicines (GENB +3.43%), a clinical-stage company that went public in February with an IPO. The largest publicly traded company by market capitalization has invested $10.4 million in Generate through its venture arm, NVentures.
The company's AI platform, called the Generate Platform, accelerates the process and improves the success rate of creating new therapeutics. Unlike traditional biotechs that screen existing compound libraries or modify natural proteins, Generate uses proprietary machine-learning architectures to engineer novel protein therapeutics from scratch.
Generate has a broad pipeline with multiple clinical candidates across various therapeutic areas. Its lead candidate, GB-0895, is in phase 3 trials for severe asthma and an early-stage trial in COPD. The company also has strategic backing and co-development deals with Amgen and Nvidia, providing strong institutional validation.
