NYU Langone, JPMorgan Chase Team Up to Fuel Brooklyn Families' Back-to-School Success
The Family Health Centers at NYU Langone recently hosted its annual Back-to-School Backpack Drive in Brooklyn. The event aimed to help local children and families prepare for the new school year by distributing more than 1,000 backpacks filled with essential school supplies.
NYU Langone's Senior Director of Ambulatory Network Operations, Marilyn Vientos, highlighted the importance of partnership in making a lasting difference in the community. JPMorgan Chase continued its long-standing support by matching contributions up to $35,000, while Healthfirst provided tents and tables for the event.
The fundraising goal was initially set at $128,000, but the community surpassed it, raising more than $138,000. This impressive effort demonstrates the collective impact of community involvement in supporting local families.
