Obsidian Security Valued at $1.1 Billion After $85 Million Funding Round
Air security startup Obsidian Security has raised $85 million in funding at a valuation of $1.1 billion, as businesses increasingly deploy AI agents to access sensitive data.
The Series D funding round was led by Crescent Cove Advisors and saw participation from existing investors Greylock Partners and Menlo Ventures.
Obsidian's Chief Executive Hasan Imam noted that nearly 70% of the company's customers are already allowing AI agents to interact with business data, with expectations of significant disruption in the agentic economy within six to twelve months.
The funds will be used to expand Obsidian's platform, which monitors and governs AI agents operating across third-party applications such as Microsoft Copilot Studio and Salesforce Agentforce.
