Officer-Involved Shooting Near Home Depot in Benton Township
An officer-involved shooting occurred on Friday morning near the Home Depot in Benton Township.
The Michigan State Police, along with the Benton Township Police Department and the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, responded to the scene off Pipestone Road.
According to the police, the suspect was wounded by a gunshot and taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police are urging the public to avoid the area while the investigation remains active and emergency personnel continue their work at the scene.
