Starr Manufacturing Inc., an Ohio-based company that produces industrial equipment, is taking drastic action against one of its critics. The company has filed a defamation lawsuit against Julie Watson, a Columbus resident who left a scathing one-star review on Google.

The review in question was published by Watson as part of her public Google review. In it, she claimed that the company had 'various quality and manufacturing failures with multiple customers.' She also stated that she could provide names and addresses of additional people who could confirm these issues.

Starr Manufacturing's attorney, Thomas Nader, claims that Watson has a personal vendetta against the company due to a relationship between Watson and one of their employees. He states that Watson is not a customer of Starr Manufacturing and that this lawsuit 'is not about being upset about a bad review from a customer.' Instead, it's a personal issue.

The company is seeking over $25,000 in damages, as well as court costs and attorney fees.
