Ohio Company Sues Woman Over Scathing Google Review
An Ohio company has taken drastic action against a woman who left a scathing review on Google. Starr Manufacturing Inc., based in Vienna Township, Ohio, filed a lawsuit against a Columbus resident after she allegedly posted malicious and false accusations about the company in a 1-star review.
The review was published in March, and according to the lawsuit, it has caused significant reputational harm and financial losses for the company. Starr Manufacturing Inc. is seeking compensatory and punitive damages exceeding $25,000, as well as attorney fees and litigation costs.
The woman has a history of posting reviews on Google, with 11 reviews published between 2014 and 2026. The lawsuit claims that she will continue to post false and malicious allegations online, which prompted the company to seek a jury trial.
