Ohio Man Leaves Lasting Legacy After Passing at Age 88
James Parish, an 88-year-old Ohio native, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026. Born in Bedford, he was a proud graduate of Maple Heights High School's Class of 1957 and later attended John Carroll University.
Parish had a long and successful career with Sherwin-Williams, where he served as Director of Quality Assurance, and worked as a Marketing Representative at MF Cachat before retiring in 1997.
A devoted parishioner of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Parish's faith and community were central to his life. He will be remembered for his quick wit, playful spirit, and incredible attention to detail.
Parish is survived by his wife of 31 years, Donna, as well as their children, Lisa, Chris, Scott, bonus children Lori and Thomas, seven grandchildren, and numerous friends who will miss him dearly.
