Ohio State University recently announced a jersey patch sponsorship deal with JPMorgan Chase worth nearly $17 million per year. The financial details of the agreement, including its length and compensation terms, are not publicly disclosed.

The university used a similar arrangement for a field sponsor at Ohio Stadium in 2022, also handled by Learfield. This private company is not subject to public records laws due to being a private entity.

Jersey patch sponsorships have become a lucrative revenue source for athletic departments following the NCAA's rule change allowing corporate logos on uniforms. This year alone, three other Big Ten schools, Illinois, Michigan State, and Wisconsin, have announced deals with similar sponsorship agreements.
