Oil Market Priced In Iran Supply Disruptions Before Sanctions
Goldman Sachs commodities analyst Daan Struyven says that oil prices have already factored in disruptions to Iran's oil supply before the latest sanctions were announced. According to Struyven, the existing blockade on Iranian ports and exports has reduced the amount of crude reaching global markets.
This limits the immediate supply impact of further sanctions, which could otherwise cause volatility in crude prices. Struyven warned that investors may still face price swings and should consider hedging their exposure.
