Okotoks Family Creates Pet-Friendly Water Station in Front Yard
An Okotoks family has set up a front yard water station for thirsty pets passing by. Kyla Taylor-Lacroix and her children came up with the idea after seeing local restaurants offering bowls of water for dogs.
The water station was created using materials from Home Depot's scrap area, and Taylor-Lacroix's children helped paint and decorate it to make it 'fun and colourful.'
The family set up the station about a month ago, and Taylor-Lacroix says they've had positive feedback. A neighbour told her that one of their dogs regularly drinks from the dish, while another dog isn't as interested.
Taylor-Lacroix also mentioned that cats are welcome to use the water station too, as she saw a cat drinking from it earlier in the day.
