Okta Aims to Lead Agentic Identity Security with Strong Q2 Execution
Okta's President and Chief Operating Officer Eric Kelleher spoke at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference 2026, highlighting the company's shift towards agentic identity security. According to Kelleher, this new chapter in enterprise software is a natural extension of Okta's existing identity-security business.
The company reported strong Q2 execution, with balanced revenue mix, record pipeline, and 30% of bookings from new products, including Okta for AI Agents. This product has already closed dozens of deals in about 120 days, including a multimillion-dollar contract with a Fortune 50 healthcare company.
Kelleher emphasized that the main competitive challenge is customer confusion, not direct rivals, although Microsoft remains the largest competitor. Okta's strengths include its 20,000-customer base, over 8,000 integrations, and platform-neutral position as AI agents spread across enterprises.
