Old Mill Press to Release Two New Disney Books in November
The Old Mill Press is set to release two new Disney books later this year. The first book, Walt Disney World War II: Animation on the Front Lines, chronicles the Walt Disney Studio's experiences during World War II. Written by David A. Bossert, a seasoned Disney historian, the book explores how the war impacted Disney's animation revenue and led to the production of animated films for the war effort.
Bossert has written extensively about Disney over the years, including books on Tomorrowland's House of the Future and biographies on animator Claude Coats and Roy E. Disney.
The second book, Magic Hour at Disney, is a collection of photographs taken at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort during twilight hours. The book is written by Keith Gluck, a Disney writer and historian, with photography by Tom Bricker, founder of the Disney Tourist Blog.
Both books are set for release in mid-November and can be preordered on Amazon or the Old Mill Press website. Walt Disney World War II: Animation on the Front Lines will retail for $65, while Magic Hour at Disney will cost $59.95.
