Older Smartphones Can Run Uncensored AI Models with Caveats

An enthusiast has successfully run an uncensored AI model on an older Google Pixel smartphone. The model, Qwen2.5-abliterate:3b, is a 3-billion-parameter model with its safety filters completely removed.

The experiment was done using a cyberdeck housing a Pixel 7, which was turned into a handheld computer capable of running on-device AI. The display shows a Linux-style terminal displaying the Claude Code command-line tools.

The Tensor G2 SoC in the Pixel 7 managed to deliver speeds of only 5 tokens per second when running Qwen2.5-abliterate:3b, indicating significant patience is required for this task.
