Olipop Snubs Big Beverage Giants in Favor of Growth
Olipop co-founder Ben Goodwin has turned down acquisition offers from beverage giants PepsiCo and Coca-Cola, opting to focus on growth instead.
In a recent interview, Goodwin emphasized his commitment to achieving a healthy profit-and-loss statement and building a strong customer base, which he believes will provide multiple options for investors seeking liquidity.
Goodwin noted that while an initial public offering (IPO) is a viable path for Olipop, the company also considers acquiring other consumer brands or ingredient technology companies to expand its portfolio. Monster Beverage's acquisition of its own flavor house serves as a model for this strategy.
