OpenAI and Microsoft Face Copyright Lawsuit Over ChatGPT Content
Alden Global Capital-owned daily newspapers have filed an amended US complaint against OpenAI and Microsoft, accusing them of infringing their copyrights.
The lawsuit alleges that OpenAI and Microsoft use millions of copyrighted articles to train their AI chatbots without permission or payment.
The companies are accused of using the publishers' content to fuel the commercialization of their generative artificial intelligence products, including ChatGPT and Copilot.
