OpenAI Integrates ChatGPT with Apple Messages on Macs Amid Trade Secrets Lawsuit

OpenAI has introduced deeper integration between its ChatGPT AI chatbot and Apple's Macs. The new feature allows users to ask ChatGPT to find information in their Apple Messages conversations and draft replies without opening the app.

The integration is part of a broader ChatGPT update that also brings improved syncing of pinned chats between Mac and iPhone, read-only snapshots for local Codex threads, and new collaboration features for ChatGPT-hosted Sites.

However, this development comes as OpenAI faces a major lawsuit from Apple over alleged trade secrets theft. The iPhone-maker claims that OpenAI encouraged Apple employees to share information related to upcoming products.
