OpenAI has lost another top sales executive to Salesforce, with Peter Doolan becoming the second such departure in a week. He will join as chief customer officer for a new AI labs initiative that sells products from the company's acquisitions.

Doolan, who was OpenAI's global head of AI transformation and spent 10 years at Salesforce before joining Slack, is being replaced by Dali Rajic, president and chief operating officer of Wiz, as OpenAI's new chief revenue officer.

This move follows the exit of Kaylin Voss, who led OpenAI's sales for the Americas. Another 22 former Salesforce employees now at OpenAI are in active talks to return, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter.

The shift is part of a larger leadership change at OpenAI, which has seen Denise Dresser, who had tripled the size of the company's sales team, replaced by Rajic. The new chief revenue officer will oversee the company's enterprise sales efforts, which have accelerated after the release of GPT-5.6 in July.
