OpenAI's AI Model Trained on Nvidia Processors Raises Odds of AGI Announcement

Crypto bettors are increasingly confident that OpenAI will announce it has created artificial general intelligence (AGI) this year, after Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated that 'artificial general intelligence has arrived' with OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra.

Huang mentioned that Astra was trained using Nvidia's processors. OpenAI President Greg Brockman shared the post and said the company is 'now moving into the AGI era.'

The possibility of a formal declaration by December 31 has spiked to 28% on Polymarket, up from 19% the day before and an 18 percentage point increase in a month.
