OpenAI's ChatGPT Brings Multiple Google Account Support
OpenAI's ChatGPT has expanded its capabilities to support multiple Google accounts for users. This update allows individuals to switch between two logins without signing out or combining personal and work information.
The new option, first announced by OpenAI development engineer Jason Liu, lets users attach multiple Google accounts to select plugins. Currently, the tool works with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts, but Google Drive is still missing from this rollout.
Users can access their personal Google account and additional work or professional accounts using a paid subscription. Those who subscribe will find the Connected accounts option in Settings > Plugins > Gmail, Google Calendar, or Google Contacts. Below their current account, they'll see a new button labeled Connect another account.
This multiple-account support is available across all ChatGPT platforms, but users with free accounts cannot access any of Google's connected plugins. Those require a Plus-tier subscription or higher. While some users are requesting that OpenAI expand this option to other tools like Notion or GitHub, the company has yet to comment on its plans.
