OpenAI's Leadership Shuffle Continues Ahead of Potential IPO
OpenAI is facing leadership uncertainty ahead of its potential stock market debut after losing its second senior executive in as many days. Chief Revenue Officer Denise Dresser, a former longtime Salesforce executive, is departing 'to pursue other opportunities' and will be replaced by Dali Rajic, who previously served as president and chief operating officer at cybersecurity company Wiz.
Dresser's exit comes just weeks after Brad Lightcap, an eight-year OpenAI veteran and colleague of CEO Sam Altman, announced his own departure to 'start something new'. The revenue chief had been tasked with accelerating the company's enterprise business, which accounts for around 40% of its revenue. She had also taken on additional responsibilities following Lightcap's shift into a 'special projects' role in April.
Rajic arrives at OpenAI with experience scaling enterprise software businesses, including his previous tenure at Zscaler. His appointment is seen as a key move for the company as it aims to increase its share of enterprise business from 40% to nearly 50% by year-end.
