Oppenheimer Sticks with Apple Stock After Latest Product Launch
Apple's recent product launch event has garnered attention from investors and analysts alike. Oppenheimer reiterated its Perform rating on Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) stock following the event, led by new CEO John Ternus.
The company introduced several new products, including the iPhone Duo, a foldable phone priced at $1,999, and the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models, which saw a $100 price increase from their previous generation. Apple also unveiled AirPods 5 and Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 with enhanced capabilities at flat or lower prices.
Oppenheimer analyst Martin Yang noted that Apple emphasized privacy-related features during the event, although Siri AI remains in English-only beta and is unavailable in the European Union. The firm expects the iPhone Duo to become the most successful foldable phone on the market, with supply likely limited to 8 million to 10 million units this year due to capacity and yield constraints.
Furthermore, Apple introduced its own C2 modem to the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max in most markets, and the Duo. However, the iPhone 18 Pro Max in the United States may retain a different modem configuration.
