Outlook Outage Hits Australia After Thousands in US Experience Issues
A major outage impacting Outlook users has spread to Australia, after thousands of US users experienced issues on Monday.
The minor outage, which is not clear where it is based in Australia, comes as 68 users had reported problems with the email provider as of 9:28 am (AEST) on Tuesday. Of those, 43 per cent said they had problems receiving messages, while 27 per cent reported issues with the apps and 19 per cent said difficulties logging in were their issue.
The outage is similar to what US users experienced earlier this week, where almost 6,000 users had logged issues on Downdetector. On Tuesday morning Australian time, more than 2,000 users continued to report problems.
Microsoft has acknowledged the issues and stated they are working to rectify the problem related to Exchange Online functionality.
