Outlook Outage Hits Thousands as Microsoft Works to Resolve Authentication Issue

Thousands of Microsoft Outlook users experienced issues receiving messages on Monday morning due to an authentication component problem in Microsoft Exchange Online.

Microsoft confirmed the issue via X thread and stated that it was working on a remediation strategy to address the problem.

The outage continued well past 6 p.m. on Monday, with reports spiking again slightly on Tuesday, according to Downdetector.

Although the majority of issues have been resolved, some disruptions may still linger for users, as Microsoft continues to validate recovery and confirm that remaining impact scenarios are fully addressed.
