P&C Insurance Stocks Report Mixed Q2 Results Amid Sector Decline
Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance stocks have reported a satisfactory Q2, with revenues beating analysts' consensus estimates by 2.3% while next quarter's revenue guidance was 0.9% above.
However, despite the positive earnings reports, the sector as a whole has collectively declined, with share prices down an average of 1.1% since the latest earnings results.
Travelers (NYSE:TRV), one of the leading P&C insurers, reported revenues of $12.09 billion, flat year on year, which fell short of analysts' expectations by 0.9%.
The company's stock is up 8.2% since reporting and currently trades at $365.46.
