Procter & Gamble (P&G) is expanding its business beyond traditional household cleaning products and personal care items through the acquisition of premium dietary supplement manufacturer Thorne. This strategic move reflects P&G's focus on tapping into growing consumer interest in disease prevention, proper nutrition, and an active lifestyle.

Thorne, founded in 1984, produces a wide range of high-end supplements including protein blends, creatine, electrolytes, omega-3s, vitamins, and mineral complexes. According to estimates, the company's revenue could reach approximately $650 million by 2026.

The acquisition marks one of P&G's largest investments in recent years and will intensify competition among leading manufacturers of everyday consumer goods as they increasingly invest in health-related products. Other international companies, including Unilever, had expressed interest in acquiring Thorne, but P&G secured the deal.
