P&G Buys Thorne Supplements for $3.8 Billion in Wellness Market Bet
Procter & Gamble (P&G) has agreed to acquire premium supplements brand Thorne for $3.8 billion, marking one of its most significant bets on the personal-health category.
The acquisition is a strategic move by P&G to expand its footprint in the fast-growing health and wellness market, where demand for vitamins, minerals, and dietary supplements continues to climb among health-conscious consumers.
P&G Chief Executive Shailesh Jejurikar said, 'This is a play to grow our health business,' framing Thorne as a complementary addition to its existing portfolio of personal-care and healthcare brands.
Thorne has built a reputation among athletes, medical practitioners, and wellness enthusiasts for its science-backed formulations and direct-to-consumer model, positioning it at the intersection of supplements and personalized wellness.
