P&G Health Soars on One-Time Gain, Core Sales Rise
Procter & Gamble Health Ltd., a pharmaceutical company, reported a 45% jump in profit after tax for the first quarter of FY27. The company's sales rose 7% to Rs 356 crore during this period.
The significant increase in profit was largely due to a one-time gain from the sale of an office property in Mumbai's Worli area, which generated a net gain of Rs 31.80 crore after accounting for its book value.
Excluding this exceptional transaction, operational profit after tax stood at Rs 72 crore, reflecting a more modest but still healthy 9% increase over the previous year.
The company's managing director, Milind Thatte, attributed the sustained growth to consumer response to science-backed innovations and new communication initiatives.
