Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd reported a significant decline in net profit for Q1FY26, down 34% year-on-year to ₹126 crore. The company cited commodity cost fluctuations driven by geopolitical uncertainties as the main reason for this drop.

The Mumbai-based FMCG major posted revenue from operations of ₹891.46 crore, a 5% decline from last year's ₹93.703 crores. EBITDA margin compressed sharply to 19.1% from 28.4%, reflecting significant operational pressure amidst strategic investments in innovation and advertising.

Advertising and sales promotion expenses increased by 21% to ₹83.32 lakhs, while employee benefits expense grew 12% to ₹54.36 lakhs. The Board of Directors approved the unaudited financial results at a meeting held on July 29, 2026.
