P&G Scoops Up Thorne for $3.8B Wellness Boost
Procter & Gamble has agreed to acquire Thorne, a supplements company, for $3.8 billion in cash. This deal aims to strengthen P&G's wellness offering by expanding its personal health care portfolio.
The transaction is expected to close later this year, subject to regulatory approvals. P&G will acquire Thorne from L Catterton's Flagship Fund.
P&G CEO Shailesh Jejurikar said that the company is 'happy' with the asset and described it as a well-run operation. The acquisition of Thorne will complement P&G's existing portfolio in premium wellness.
