P&G Scoops Up Thorne Supplements Brand for $3.8 Billion
Procter & Gamble (P&G) has agreed to acquire Thorne, a science-driven wellness company that produces nutritional supplements and personalized health tools. The deal is worth $3.8 billion in cash, with completion expected later in 2026.
The acquisition expands P&G's Health Care portfolio with a premium brand serving both consumers and healthcare practitioners. Founded in 1984, Thorne develops its formulas through clinical research and operates its own manufacturing facility in South Carolina.
Thorne's products are recommended by tens of thousands of healthcare practitioners and used by over seven million consumers, with approximately 60% of revenue coming from consumers under the age of 40. The company is expected to generate $650 million in annual revenue during 2026.
