P&G to Acquire Thorne in $3.8 Billion Deal
Procter & Gamble (PG) is set to acquire Thorne in a deal worth $3.8 billion, according to CEO Shailesh Jejurikar.
Jejurikar told CNBC that P&G is 'really happy with the asset itself,' describing it as a 'well-run operation' with a long history.
Thorne went public in late 2021 at a $525 million valuation but was taken private by L Catterton in 2023 for $680 million. The brand generated $500 million in sales last year, and shoppers under the age of 40 make up its largest customer base.
In P&G's Q4 earnings report, revenue came in at $21.20 billion, below estimates but with EPS beating consensus by a mere $0.02.
