P&G's Under-the-Radar Dividend Payoff

Procter & Gamble's stock has seen little growth in recent years, but its attractive valuation and supported dividend make it an interesting option for investors. The company's diverse portfolio of everyday-use brands, including Pampers diapers, Charmin toilet paper, and Tide detergent, gives it pricing power with consumers and retailers.

In April, Procter & Gamble raised its quarterly dividend to $1.0885 or $4.354 per year, marking the company's 70th consecutive annual increase. This makes P&G one of the longest-tenured Dividend Kings, with at least 50 consecutive years of boosting payouts.

A $17,000 investment in P&G can produce about $510 in annual dividend income, given its 3% yield. Despite a multiyear slowdown, Procter & Gamble continues to generate ample earnings and free cash flow to cover its dividend.
