Padres Sign Dodgers' Postseason Hero Brent Honeywell Jr. to Minor League Deal
The San Diego Padres have signed reliever Brent Honeywell Jr. to a minor league deal after he emerged as a postseason hero for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2024.
Honeywell, who was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers in July 2024, played a crucial role in their World Series victory against the Yankees.
In Game 4 of the series, Honeywell allowed five runs in the eighth inning, but his efforts helped preserve the Dodgers' bullpen for the decisive Game 5.
