Padres Sign Pitcher Brent Honeywell to Minor-League Contract
The San Diego Padres have signed pitcher Brent Honeywell to a minor-league contract. This move comes after Honeywell failed to appear in an official game since the 2024 World Series with the Dodgers, where he suffered a cracked fingernail on September 27, 2024.
Honeywell had previously signed a minor-league deal with the San Francisco Giants in February but never made an appearance for the team. He will likely work in a relief role at Triple-A El Paso.
