Paducah Prepares for Largest BBQ on the River Festival Yet
BBQ on the River is gearing up for its annual celebration in Paducah, Kentucky. The festival will take place from Sept. 24 through Sept. 26 and will be led by new leadership under Tyler Parker.
Parker and executive director Blaine McDonald have been preparing for this year's festival since last year, with a focus on bringing back old traditions while introducing new experiences.
According to McDonald, organizers have planned a VIP experience that will integrate the city's downtown area, including several new distilleries. The VIP tent will offer an alcohol tasting experience.
The festival will feature over 100 barbecue vendors, with some coming from out-of-town locations such as Nashville and Madisonville. Headliners for this year's event include Houston Kelly from The Voice and Johnny Mac and The Remedies.
Parker explained that the festival will return to its original location near Broussard's and the Quilt Museum, creating a more family-friendly atmosphere.
