Palette, a Copenhagen-based startup founded in 2025 by Brian Kyed and others, has secured €3 million in pre-seed funding. The investment was led by Ugly Duckling Ventures and included support from Emblem, Acadian Ventures, and several angel investors.

The startup aims to make switching AI models seamless for companies. Palette's Desktop app allows teams to use any AI agent directly on files in Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox. This approach is inspired by the early days of software-as-a-service, where engineers would work with different coding agents simultaneously.

Kyed believes that relying on a single AI model can be problematic for companies. 'If you build your entire company to only use one model, and you have all your context in there, then your entire company is 100% dependent on one of these vendors, they can set the price they want,' he said.
