Palisades Center Tragedy: Man Falls to Death Trying to Help Injured Teen

An Orange County man has died in a tragic accident after trying to help an injured teenager at the Palisades Center in New York. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning when a Toyota Camry crashed and flipped off a steep embankment near Home Depot.

A 43-year-old man from Maybrook, who wishes to remain unidentified, stopped to assist the driver, but unfortunately fell 30-40 feet over a retaining wall while trying to help. He sustained fatal injuries in the fall.

The driver of the Toyota Camry, an 18-year-old from Carmel, was rescued and later arrested for DWI (driving while intoxicated).
