Parachute Aims to Bridge Brand Strength and Revenue Gap for Frontier Tech
Parachute, an advisory firm and VC fund, was launched by entrepreneur John Vance to bridge the gap between brand strength and revenue for frontier technology companies. According to Vance, this gap is not due to weak brands, but rather a failure to convert brand strength into sales.
Vance cites Procter & Gamble's recent results as an example of this issue. Despite having strong brands, P&G reported flat organic sales and 'underwhelming demand for its products' in its latest fiscal year.
Parachute aims to address this issue by working with founders to rebuild their companies' stories and sales infrastructure, using an outcome-based pricing model that ties fees to client outcomes. The firm also has a $1.5 million in-house venture arm that deploys capital directly into the clients it serves.
