Parkview Expansion Adds Nine New Residential Lots in Columbus
Columbus's Parkview neighborhood is expanding its footprint with the addition of nine new residential lots. The old Chevron parcel on Fifth Street North, a former redevelopment area, will be purchased by Friendly City Development for $1.15 million.
The CRA (Community Redevelopment Authority) will cover the cost of design and site prep work for the new home lots. This expansion is expected to add close to $2.8 million in value to the city tax rolls.
Nic Parish, a partner with Friendly City Development, stated that the new lots will be smaller than others in the Parkview area, accommodating homes in the 1,500 square-foot range.
