Pastor Shares Story of Abusive Childhood to Offer Hope for Healing
Pastor Ray Coleman has shared his story of growing up in an abusive home in Paris, Texas. At just 13 years old, he was kicked out and left to fend for himself.
Coleman lived behind a nearby McDonald's for a few weeks before his prayers were answered. He was taken in by Pastor Samuel Evans and his wife Dorothy Evans, who showed him the love he hadn't received from his mother.
In an interview with The Gazette on August 19, 2026, Coleman spoke about why he shares his story. According to him, he wants others to know that there is hope for healing and redemption.
