PayTabs Acquires Amazon Payment Services' MENA Operations for Over $100 Million
Saudi fintech PayTabs is reportedly set to acquire Amazon Payment Services' operations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, a deal valued at over $100 million. The acquisition would bring Amazon's regional payments operation into PayTabs' existing infrastructure.
The combined business is expected to process more than SAR 150 billion ($40 billion) in transactions each year, making it one of the largest payment processors in the region.
PayTabs provides payment processing and transaction switching services for merchants across the MENA region. Amazon Payment Services operates in nine countries in the region and is used by over 3,500 businesses.
