Penguin Solutions Sees Rapid Growth, Eyes AI Infrastructure Market
Penguin Solutions, an AI infrastructure and memory company, made significant announcements at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference 2026. Chief Executive Kash Shaikh emphasized that the business is growing rapidly but acknowledged a highly competitive market and dependence on continued AI spending to sustain this pace.
Shaikh highlighted that Penguin's AI-driven businesses accounted for 74% of net sales in Q3, with a growth rate of 104% year-over-year. The company also reported record Q3 net sales and expects the next quarter to exceed $500 million for the first time.
Penguin is positioning itself as a single partner for AI factory design, build, deployment, and management. The company's ClusterWareAI platform combines software, hardware, and services into one offering for customers building and running AI systems. Shaikh emphasized that Penguin's ability to engage at the architecture layer sets it apart from competitors.
The company's growth drivers include hardware-agnostic software, memory products, CXL offerings, and future photonic memory. Shaikh estimated that over $7 trillion will be invested in data center infrastructure over the next three years, with Penguin well-positioned to capture a meaningful share of this spending.
