Pentagon Partners with Boeing, RTX on Advanced Missile Interceptor Components
The Pentagon has signed framework agreements with Boeing and RTX to boost production of critical components for missile interceptors.
The deals aim to increase production of components for SM-3 Block IIA and SM-3 Block IB munitions, which are used in the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System.
These ship-fired surface-to-air interceptors are designed to protect against ballistic missiles. The Pentagon stated that these agreements will strengthen production capabilities.
