Persistent Systems has implemented an AI-powered HR platform called PiAssist, built on Microsoft technologies. The platform brings intelligent assistance to employees for everyday HR queries, reducing repetitive tasks and freeing up HR teams' time.
According to Chief People Officer Rajiv Naithani, the idea behind PiAssist was to move HR from a helpdesk model to an always-on, intelligent support layer embedded in the employee experience. The AI-powered agent delivers instant, contextual responses to employee queries, without requiring them to switch systems or chase information across teams.
Naithani notes that instead of static information retrieval, PiAssist provides contextual assistance tailored to the employee's situation. This has significantly reduced repetitive queries reaching HR teams and improved response speed for employees.
