This weekend, tens of thousands of runners are expected to participate in Western Australia's longest-running community fun run, the Chevron City to Surf. The event will take place on Sunday, August 30, with two course options: a 4km route starting in Floreat and a 12km route beginning at the intersection of St Georges Terrace and William Street.

The road closures for this popular race will begin as early as 1am on Sunday, affecting several streets in Perth, Subiaco, and the Town of Cambridge. Key roads facing closures include St Georges Terrace (between Milligan Street and Barrack Street), William Street (between Murray Street and The Esplanade), and Oceanic Drive (between West Coast Highway and Challenger Parade).

Motorists are advised to plan ahead for a busy weekend, as several streets will remain closed until around noon on Sunday. Significantly, access through the West Coast Highway corridor will be restricted from 4am to 2pm, with further closures along Bold Park Drive and sections of The Boulevard.
