Pharma Giants Join Forces on AI-Driven Drug Discovery and Commercialization Deals
Novo Nordisk is teaming up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate drug discovery through AI and cloud technologies. The two companies have created a co-innovation hub in London, where engineers and scientists from both organizations are using AWS's AI tools alongside Novo Nordisk's data and insights.
The partnership aims to compress the path from drug target to first human dose by combining Novo Nordisk's therapeutic knowledge across chronic diseases with AWS's cloud and AI services. The collaboration has already produced measurable results, including reduced clinical documentation time and productivity gains for over 25,000 employees.
Innate Pharma is partnering with Swedish Orphan Biovitrum (Sobi) to enable the initiation of a confirmatory Phase III study in cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. Innate will receive $75 million at closing, as well as up to $40 million tied to near-term development milestones and up to $465 million related to Sobi's option to acquire full development rights.
Innovent Biologics has entered an exclusive agreement with Daiichi Sankyo for the commercialization of Vanflyta in China. Daiichi Sankyo will handle development, manufacturing, and supply, while Innovent will hold sole commercialization rights and lead market promotion.
